The 2026 Transdisciplinary AI Hub (TAIH) Annual Symposium runs on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 9 AM to 5 PM in Science Theatres room 148 at the University of Calgary. It brings researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders together for a full day on how we make machine learning trustworthy, transparent, and accountable as it moves into real-world use.
The program looks at robust methodologies, the interpretation of model-driven decisions, and reliability across healthcare, critical infrastructure and energy, human and AI collaboration, and the ethics and governance of AI.
Prof. Samira Ebrahimi Kahou, Director of TAIH, and Prof. Jenny Godley, Head of the Graduate College, open the day. Invited speakers include Jessalyn Holodinsky of the University of Calgary, Isaac Opher Ullah and Mostafa Khosravy of Enerva Energy Solutions, and Truman Seto of ENMAX Power Corporation.
These talks are paired with a poster session of accepted work and more than a dozen oral presentations from students and researchers, with lunch and networking in between. The strongest submissions receive awards sponsored by the Graduate College.
Registration is free. Reserve your place through Eventbrite, and find the full schedule and speaker lineup on the symposium site below.
